Recently, Skytap announced Google Apps integration using OpenID, the availability of the Skytap Cloud via the Google Apps Marketplace™, and new network automation capabilities to support complex enterprise applications.
Network Automation – Skytap’s new network automation capabilities allow developers to create complex multi-tier networking topologies in the cloud. Developers can move existing enterprise applications that require N-tier security and clustering and fail-over support to the cloud with point-and-click ease. OpenID Authentication – Through this integration, Google Apps customers can use their existing Google credentials as a single sign-on mechanism, and access their Skytap Cloud environments running complex enterprise applications within the context of Google Apps.

A sales engineer can instantly toggle between an enterprise application demo running in the Skytap Cloud to a Google Calendar application that contains necessary information to complete a task.
